On Tuesday, 26th April 2021, US Vice President Kamla Harris was tested positive in both rapid as well as PCR testing. The White House announced that President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden did not came into the close contact of the US Vice President in the recent few days.
However the good thing is that the US Vice President has shown no symptoms and is fine. She has isolated herself in her residence and will continue doing her regular work remotely.
The White House said, Harris will follow all the CDC guidelines and physicians advice. Once tested negative, she will return to the White House. The US VP had returned from a weeklong trip to the West Coast before testing positive.
Harris is 57 years old and has received her first dose of Covid-19 Moderna vaccine a few weeks before joining the office and the second dose after the Inauguration day in the year 2021. She is also covered with booster and additional booster shot.
Covid-19 is still present and its variants keep on changing from time to time. However, fully vaccinated people have huge protection against any serious illness or death caused by the deadly Covid-19.
